Emotions are natural. They make us human. But when emotions become excessive, they can turn into chains. If your mood rises and falls based on how someone speaks to you, whether they appreciate you, or how they respond to your needs, you lose control over your own peace. I realized that being “too emotional” meant I was giving away my power. My happiness was no longer mine — it was in someone else’s hands.

This dependence drained me completely. I felt exhausted, anxious, and constantly seeking validation. It was like running on empty, waiting for someone else to refill me.

Why Mental Fitness Is More Important

Mental fitness is about building strength in your thoughts, resilience in your mindset, and clarity in your decisions. Just like physical exercise strengthens the body, mental exercise strengthens the mind. When you are mentally fit:
